I am enjoying my senior year as a public relations major at the U of O. When I’m not learning at Allen Hall, you can find me hanging out at my sorority house, sipping coffee at Starbucks or shopping at my beloved Nordstrom. I love social media, event planning and fashion magazines and blogs. I hope to pursue a career in consumer public relations in Portland, Seattle or New York City.

After growing up in Portland, OR, my family moved to Chicago, IL where I finished high school. I decided to come back to Oregon to go to UO and pursue studies in advertising and public relations. Being a junior, I have had many opportunities to become involved on campus. I am a member of Alpha Chi Omega, a women’s sorority that strives for excellence for each of its members. Joining Allen Hall Public Relations has let me see the true workings of a public relations agency and has gotten me excited to gain more PR experience. I hope that AHPR will give me the experience that I need and lead me to more opportunities through out these next two years as well as beyond college.

I am a junior at the University of Oregon; I thrive for football season, reality TV, and of course public relations. I am a journalism major with a focus in public relations and advertising. In my free time I enjoy Facebooking, stumbling, and tweeting–just your typical journalism student. I am a Portland native (real Portland), but I see myself in NYC in the future. I love experiencing new places, food and cultures. I think the challenge of understanding diversity is really important in today’s world. I am happiest when surrounded by good people, good food, and good conversation.

When it came time to choose where I wanted to go to college it was a no brainer, living in Portland as a small child you are told to pick – Ducks or Beavers. I chose the Ducks. I knew that I wanted to come to the University of Oregon for as long as I can remember. Now as a junior at UO, I know I have made the right choice. I came to school undecided about my major but I am now pursuing a degree in advertising and public relations, which I am really enjoying. I am excited to be working for Allen Hall Public Relations because I am really interested in seeing what a public relations agency is all about and I think that the experience is going to be great. Being here has given me so many great opportunities to know who I am really am and where I want to go in my life. I am hoping that Allen Hall Public Relations will give me even more great experiences and opportunities.
